From March 20th until 22ND 2k20
The event has been distributed in several stages with the intention of making filters to level the different categories. Through this process we grant that each competitor participates in the category for which he is really qualified and trained for to grant the best show and competition.
An initial qualifying stage will take place where all athletes that want to participate in the main event will have to qualify within twenty best, getting through ALL the WODs proposed by the organization.
The Main Event will celebrate in three days in which the athletes will get through all kinds of Wods in the different categories. All this will be accompanied of a great variety of parallel activities to keep the audience always entertained.
THE GRAND FINAL
This final stage will take place on the third day of competition with top ranked of each category. From this grand final we will have the winners of the third edition of the Atlantic Games 2020.

El entrenamiento funcional es un deporte que usa técnicas de entrenamiento basadas en movimientos de diferentes disciplinas deportivas, e incluso entrenamientos militares. Las disciplinas más utilizadas son la halterofilia, el entrenamiento metabólico o el gimnástico. De esta manera el entrenamiento funcional hace que la motivación y mejora de los deportistas sea plena. Además hay diferentes formas de entrenamiento o competición, en la cual se puede entrenar individualmente, en parejas o en grupos. Los entrenamientos suelen ser variados, de duración relativamente corta y se adapta completamente al nivel de cada deportista.

This category is for athletes who seek performance as a long term goal and who have already taken part in competitions
SCALED WOMEN / MEN
Recognized category for those who begin in this sport, so they will have the opportunity to compete in this type of championships, the weights and gymnastic movements are adaptable to this type of athletes
Category that is composed of a female and a male component and that requires a good level both in weightlifting and gymnastic movements, since in this category the work is divided between the two components
INTERMEDIATE WOMEN / MEN
Category designed for those athletes who maintain a more intense relationship with this sport, with weight being a limiting factor when performing any WOD.
